Tape Coach Privacy Policy (Waitlist)
Version 0.1-selfreview, 16 October 2026. Prepared without a lawyer.
Effective date: 16 October 2026
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Who we are
This website, tapecoach.app (the "Site"), is run by Tape Coach App LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Tape Coach," "we," "us"), 5900 Balcones Drive, Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731. Contact: hello@tapecoach.app.
Tape Coach has not launched. Right now the Site only lets you join a waitlist. This policy covers the Site and the waitlist. When the product launches we will publish a fuller policy and tell you before it applies to you.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Email address (required to join).
- Optional answers: the trading platform you use, whether you trade a prop-firm evaluation or funded account (yes/no), and a short text answer about your biggest rule-break.
- Your acknowledgments: before you can join, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you have read the Risk Disclosure. We keep that record with the signup: that you confirmed both, the policy version (policy-2026-10-16), and the time you submitted.
- Anything you send us when you write to us.
What the site collects on its own
The site itself uses no cookies, no analytics, no ad pixels, and no conversion tags. If ad or analytics tools are added later, this policy will be updated first.
We do not track whether emails are opened or links in them are clicked.
What we do not want
- We do not ask for payment details, brokerage or prop-firm logins, account numbers, or screenshots at this stage. Please don't put account numbers, personal identifiers, or health information in the optional text box. If you do by mistake, email us and we will delete it.
- The Site is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we learn we have.
3. How we use it
- To run the waitlist and send you Tape Coach early-access updates and a launch invite.
- To understand what to build, using your optional answers, usually summarized across many people.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and follow the law.
We use only what we need for these purposes. We will not use your waitlist data for a different purpose without asking you first.
What we don't do: we do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for targeted (cross-site) advertising. We do not upload your email to ad platforms. We do not use your answers to profile you for decisions about credit, housing, jobs, insurance or similar. We do not use your waitlist answers to train AI models.
4. Who we share it with
Only service providers that process data for us under contract, and only for the purposes above:
- Kit (kit.com), our email service provider and processor. Kit stores waitlist emails, including the 18+ and Risk Disclosure record, and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare Pages hosts the website and is a processor. It may keep standard connection logs. This site sets no cookies.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or to a successor if the business is sold (we would tell you and the promises in this policy would carry over).
5. Ads and cookies
The site itself uses no cookies, no analytics, no ad pixels, and no conversion tags. If ad or analytics tools are added later, this policy will be updated first.
We do not use remarketing, custom audiences, or Customer Match. Our sign-up confirmation page does not put your email or other personal data in its web address.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist email, answers, and the 18+ and Risk Disclosure record kept with that signup: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after the last email we send you, whichever is first.
- Records we must keep by law: as long as the law requires.
7. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email with the link in it. We process opt-outs within 10 business days and usually much sooner.
Whether or not a particular state law applies to us, we will honor these rights for anyone in the United States on request:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data.
- Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling (we do none of these).
How to ask: email hello@tapecoach.app. We may need to confirm it's you. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by 45 days if we tell you why. Requests are free, up to twice a year.
Appeals: if we decline a request, we will tell you why and how to appeal. Reply to our decision with "Appeal" or email hello@tapecoach.app with the subject "Appeal." We answer in writing within 60 days with our reasons. If we deny the appeal you can complain to the Texas Attorney General at https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection/file-consumer-complaint, or to your state's regulator.
Texas residents: you have the rights above under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, to the extent it applies to us. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we honor the access, correction and deletion rights above. We do not offer financial incentives for personal data.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we hold, such as encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
9. Where data is processed
In the United States. The Site is meant for people in the United States.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, where we have your email, tell you before the change takes effect for new uses of your data.
