Tape Coach Risk Disclosure

Please read this before you join the Tape Coach waitlist or use Tape Coach. Tape Coach has not launched. When it does, you will have to acknowledge the full Risk Disclosure to create an account.

  1. Trading futures, options on futures, and foreign exchange involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than your initial deposit. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
  2. Tape Coach is a journal and a rules-adherence tool. It is not investment, trading, financial, tax, or legal advice. Tape Coach App LLC is not registered with the CFTC as a commodity trading advisor, is not an NFA member, and is not registered as an investment adviser with the SEC or any state. Nothing in Tape Coach is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any futures contract, security, currency, or other instrument. Tape Coach does not tell you what, when, or whether to trade.
  3. You set the rules; you make every decision. The coach compares your charts, notes and trades with the model and rules you wrote. That includes anything you send during a session, such as a chart or a message about how you feel. A "valid" result means only that what you marked appears to match your own rules as you described them. It does not mean a trade is a good idea, likely to be profitable, or safe. Reminders repeat your own rules back to you and are not recommendations. The coach does not comment on where the market is going and does not tell you when to enter, exit, or hold.
  4. The coach is an AI, and AI can be wrong. Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and can misread charts, prices, times, or your rules, or contain errors. Confidence scores are not a measure of accuracy. The coach is not a person. Verify everything yourself.
  5. The coach is not mental health care. It can respond to how you say you feel only by pointing you back to your own rules. It is not a therapist, counselor or medical service. If you feel unsafe or in crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
  6. Past and hypothetical results are not indicative of future results. Your own journal statistics describe the past only. This website shows no trading results. Pictures and examples on it are illustrative mock-ups of planned features with sample values.
  7. Prop-firm accounts. Evaluation and funded-account programs are offered by third parties under their own rules, which change. Tape Coach is not affiliated with any prop firm. Limits you enter are only as accurate as what you enter. Always check your firm's current rules. Using Tape Coach does not improve your chance of passing an evaluation or receiving a payout.
  8. No guarantee. We make no promise that using Tape Coach will improve your discipline, results, or profitability, that it will launch, or that any feature will work as described.
